Well, I already see them early in the morning and at 10 pm they still do their works. From 9–5 they are a good employee, then after 5, they turn into devoted social worker.

I know.. I know.. that is something you already know.

Let me break it down for you. There are many routines, habits and items to get into productive realm. Like this 21 tips to become the most productive person you know, or follow 9 habits Forbes said about productive people.

To start, you need to set up a good system. A good system is very essential to avoid feeling overwhelmed by dozens of tasks of that day. You have control over your schedule, you know exactly what you’re going to do when, ahead of time. Imagine the total chaos if you’re not having a clear system to follow. As a small step, try to bring pads to jot down everything you need to do and broke it down into specific tasks. Then, put all of those tasks and every bit you need to spend time doing on your calendar, of course with each activity or task assigned to a time block.

Having a perfect system won’t work if you do not manage your mind in the first place. You need both. They are like a pair of shoes if you lost the one left — not only it would look funny, but it would be really bad for your feet, knees, hips, back and even your neck. Putting everything on the calendar won’t magically make you do it. If you’re avoiding a particular assessment, for instance, you’ll just sit down and get on scrolling Instagram instead, because your brain scares of that boring or difficult work. So, you have to pay attention to what you’re thinking when you procrastinate. Practice the thought on purpose when your brain goes into anxiety is the only way out to actively managing your mind. Then, be happy and make a decent income weren’t all that difficult — if you know how to organize that hot mess of yours. Whether or not keeping organized is one of your strengths, it’s a habit everyone should get into.

Where you should start? A system that you consistently follow and consistently managing your mind. Now, stop thinking about being productive and go do something.
