Hey, SoMaeks! I looked into the many websites of the Web 3 events scheduled for May and picked out the best ones by value, accessibility, and scale.

1. Blockchain Economy Istanbul Summit (May 8-11)
Blockchain currency in Turkey is a lot more widely used than you may expect. Several stores host services where you can just walk in and exchange cash for Bitcoin (BTC) or Tether (USDT). Blockchain Economy Istanbul Summit aims to bring together the key players of the crypto industry and experts to redefine the future of finance.

2. NFT Tallinn (May 9–10)
** Incorrect dates on the poster image. The dates of NFT Tallinn were adjusted to May 9 -10**
Although Tallinn scored low on accessibility, the wide range of speakers and partners packed into 2 separate stages over the span of the conference is impressive. The variety of topic categories that will be presented on stages might give visitors the perfect opportunity to spot and network with like-minded people.

3. Seoul Substrate Meetup (May 11)
Location: DreamPlus Gangnam, Seoul Seocho-gu Gangnam-daero 311 DreamPlus Gangnam, B1 Event Hall
COOV’s developer, Blockchain Labs, is hosting a meetup for the Rust-based blockchain framework Substrate with Polkadot. COOV is the app Korean entries must use as proof of vaccine. Looking at the agenda, it’s going to be a very informational time :)

4. Glitch Hackathon (May 19 — 21)
Location: Incheon Hana Global Campus, 374, Cheomdandong-ro, Seo-gu, Incheon, Republic of Korea
This hackathon is the first multi-chain competition in Korea, with the participation of four main-nets including Avalanche (AVAX), BNB Chain, NEAR Protocol, and Polygon (MATIC). There is a total grand prize of 50,000,000 KRW, and applications are being accepted until May 7th!

5. TBC SojuDAO & … Pizza day (May 22)
Location: TBD
There will be a casual meetup for Somaeks somewhere in Seoul with pizza! It’s the perfect opportunity to chill, enjoy some pizza, and connect with like-minded individuals in the Web 3 space.
6. Algorand Builder Korea Meetup (May 31)
Location: Mirim Tower — Hashed Lounge 3rd Floor, 14, Teheran-ro 4-gil Gangnam-gu Seoul, 06232
Algorand Builder Korea aims to bring together Web3 enthusiasts, developers, and projects to share ideas and form collaborations in the Algorand ecosystem. You may find the support, resources, and connections needed to grow your ideas on the Algorand blockchain.
This event is FREE, and open to all whoever is interested in building in Web3/ Blockchain
7. Radical Finance 2023 Asia (May 28–31)
You can request an invite here for this Invitation-only event aimed to explore topics that can assist financial institutions in future-proofing themselves for the transition from Web 2 to Web3 at The Intersection of FinTech, Web3 & AI. Startups can also sign up for an opportunity to pitch investors and partners on the demo stage.
