OLD song is NEW

The melody dropped
into my ears
haven’t heard of it
in these passing years

The words were familiar
or at least a few I could catch
as I am walking
to its rhythm my heart is latched

The last time,
was 10 years back
Now I have lost the track,
of how many days had sunshine
and how many I had just to whine

The same route I took for 10 years
Has establishments with new gears
Today it has that old musical fountain
Where one day I felt drained

Where was all this ?
How could I just miss ?
The old songs faded
or maybe that’s what I wished.

This moment is about all of it
The old, The new
Absorbing everything in my view.

The song I knew already
Felt like new. ❤

This poem is about perspective. How our perspective changes with time. How when at one point in life we see everything is tough and then later we feel empowered to have been able to sail through that time. How when at one point in life we think it’s probably the darkest phase and just feel like giving up and then after may be years feel stronger. Life is crazy !

Through this poem I intend to share the feeling of how the same things which brought tears in our eyes at one point can later bring a smile. Believe in what you are doing. Believe in yourself. Times are tough. Beautiful times are not too far. :)
