WHO IS A FARMER?
All might have come across the word “FARMER”. If you ask a layman “who is a Farmer”, he will tell that Farmer is a person who cultivates crops and provide food for everyone. However when you examined to a great depth of clarity, the term “FARMER” refers to more than crop cultivators; it includes beekeepers, poultry and livestock rearers and tribal persons who are actively engaged in shifting cultivation and in the collection and selling of non-timber produce.
In bygone days, Farmers were crowned as a God of human civilization. Now, in contrast, their standard of living is entirely inverted. In the present scenario, people are hesitating to choose agriculture as their profession. We all aware of reason behind this! It is nothing but money. Each of us rushing to a paper, which can afford us with a fleeting pleasure. Beforehand, our primary attempt is to trace food without any hurdles.

DO YOU KNOW?
Who is the Farmer in Bible?
It’s Adam. After he is created by God, he is placed in charge of GARDEN OF EDEN.

Let’s explore the life of a Farmer. Just close your eyes. Hold on! You’re not supposed to do that, LOL!! You imagine yourself as a Farmer and holding a few acres of land for cultivation. As a normal man, what would you do with this land? Some may sell it off or may build any construction to make profits out of it. Then you are unaware of the forfeits. The real profit turns up when you do something magical. Creating a new life is magical. Isn’t it? The basic needs of every human are food, clothing, and shelter. If I say these three needs can be satisfied solely by a person, do you agree? Of course, he is not a genie. But he’s more than the fairy-tale. He can cultivate his own food, spin silk clothes by rearing silkworms, and build a small house, not just made up of bricks and cement, but a living treehouse.

The Farmer life reminds me a coin which has bliss and miserable sides of a single figure. It’s hard to predict the outcome of his acts. Let’s say that you are cultivating the rice crop, and it’s growing good enough to yield maximal harvest; you will be ecstatic as a Farmer. Conversely, if natural calamities destroy your crops, you will be screwed up with zero yields. Farmers can’t hold these economic stresses repeatedly; in some cases, it horribly ends their life. Being a Farmer, not everyone is ended up with suicide.

Nevertheless, he considers his family before stepping on the blunder path. Because in everyone’s life, their family plays a pivotal role. Farmers embrace the entire population as his own family. He holds the responsibility to feed us. With these thoughts, he raises his farming tools and fills his heart with desire of feeding humanity.

Cultivating crops is not just an easy task; it is fraught with complications and scarifies. For the healthy growth of a crop, the environment must accompany it. So, the environment plays an indirect dominant role in Farmer’s life. It makes sense on impact of our carbon footprint, affecting the lives of million Farmers and their families. We are betraying our blue planet. Let’s oath to stop pollution.

The holy relationship between the Farmer and his crops is beyond our perception. If you can’t understand this bond, never loosen it.
Here comes my Tamil poem, which depicts the Farmers anguish.

Written by,
Farmer’s daughter.

Moreover, a FARMER is not an individual; he is the aura frame of nature’s land.
