This week was mostly dedicated to releasing the update for Android and iOS. Read on to discover more!

“Explore” Update

What is the update about? Firstly, in this one, most of the reported and found bugs were fixed. Secondly, the “Explore” section gets its own tab in Dashboard. In this tab, you can find featured and popular topics.

Sola Web beta: new languages!

In our 25th Weekly, we were talking about the process of translating Sola Web Beta. Currently we have the Web version translated to Japanese, German, Italian and Russian languages. All of these will be available for you in the near future.

New basic topic structure

As part of preparing the updated SOL usage system, we are also working on new basic topics. Instead of a news portal structure, we are aiming to create a space for more personal stories, experiences, opinions, and discussions. For example, among the new featured topics, we are planning to add a topic for people to share their personal daily experiences, another for sharing interesting stories and facts with the community, a topic to share personal ideas, and finally, one for the Sola community to ask each other questions for discussions and debates.

Optimising search for the Japanese community

This week our developers were also solving a case for our Japanese users who had difficulties with search. In the Japanese language, there’s no space between words, and Sola search algorithms fell short of the community’s expectations. In the update, the issue was fixed for better usability.
