Official Guidelines for the Geostellar & Flex Spring Competition
Purpose of the Competition
The Solar Club Mission
Solar Club is a membership organization formed to increase the solar energy capacity of communities across the country. We have local, state and regional chapters to support our friends, neighbors and associates interested in switching to clean, affordable solar energy.
Solar club has the following types of members:
- Suppliers can be equipment manufacturers, financing companies, installation contractors or other participants in the provision of residential and commercial solar energy systems.
- Generators are property owners who host solar panels to provide electricity for their own homes and businesses, or for consumption by residents of their local community.
- Partners are organizations that promote solar energy for members, employees, associates, customers and other constituencies.
- Professionals are independent representatives who serve their communities as trusted resources in the consideration of solar energy solutions.
This competition is specifically to develop Solar Professionals across the country. If you wish to compete, you do not need to be a Solar Pro, and don’t need any special training or knowledge. You’ll master the discipline as you go along. By the end of the competition, you’ll know much more about solar energy equipment, financing and installation than you did when you began.
And you just might make some real money in addition to the earning some great prizes!
Solar Pro Compensation & Eligible Partners
For each of your friends, neighbors and associates that goes solar with your encouragement, you’ll receive about $1,000.00. Maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less.
Solar Pros can sign up directly with Solar Club, or through one of our authorized partners. We vet the compensation plans of our partners to ensure the Solar Pro receives adequate consideration for the effort involved.
The current authorized partners are the following:
- CREW (Clean Renewable Energy Worldwide).
- Ascend Global Services
If you are already registered as a representative of those partners, you will still need to sign up as a Solar Pro on Solar Club. If you sign up directly with Solar Club, you’ll receive a copy of the compensation plan from us. If you are signed up through CREW or Ascend, you’ll receive comp plans from those organizations.
Solar Pros who receive a base salary or hourly compensation as a representative of one of our partners are not eligible to participate in this competition. Solar Pros who offer solar using equipment such as phones, computers or software provided by a partnering organization are also ineligible for this competition.
The Grand Prize
Geostellar and Flex will be sending the most enthusiastic solar fanatic we can find to the three NCAA Final Four championship games in Phoenix, AZ. We’ll cover center court tickets, airfare and lodging as well as sponsored events.
The Grand Prize will be awarded to the most effective Solar Club member as demonstrated by the level of commitment for solar energy they inspire in friends, neighbors and associates before Selection Sunday, March 12, 2017, as determined by the total power capacity of the solar panels under contract for installation.
A Gift for the Property Owner Switching to Solar
Free Energy Management and Smart Control System
Every residential or commercial property owner that installs a solar energy system with at least 7kW of power before the end of March will receive a free Flex Energy Hub and a Wink smart control system with a choice of peripherals such as thermostats, outlets, lighting kits and more!
These smart control and energy management kits are typically $2,800.00 installed.

The Raffle for Additional Tickets and Travel
For every property owner who goes solar with a free smart control system installed, the referring Solar Pro will be entered in a raffle to win tickets, travel and lodging for the Final Four. This is an additional chance to win the Grand Prize package by completing at least one successful referral!
The more referrals you make, the better your chances of winning!
Wink Smart Home Systems for You!
For the first 5 successful referrals made through end of February 28th 2017, you will receive free smart home components, as follows:
- For the first successful referral, you’ll receive 1 Wink Hub 2 and 1 Wink Relay
- For the 2nd through 5th successful referral, you’ll receive your Starter Set of Choice, selected from the Nest Gen 3 Thermostate, the Leviton Lightin Suite or the Leviton & GoControl, or an Amazon Echo (only 1 per Solar Pro) with each successful referral.
Step 1. Register with Solar Club as a Professional
If you are not already registered as a Solar Pro, what are you waiting for!
Register through the Solar Club partner profile on Geostellar. You’ll have the following three choices:
- Go Solar. This is for you if you own a property and would like a solar energy system installed to power your home or business. You’ll enter an address and be taken to your Solar Profile. Work through the checklist, and add the NCAA promo code to get a free Flex energy management and smart home control system. You can upgrade your account to a Pro account later at no cost.
- Go Pro. Register as a Solar Professional if you’d like to earn extra income helping friends, neighbors and associates go solar. We’ll provide training, support and compensation to help you build a successful practice in your community.
- Partner with Us. If you are the leader of an organization that is interested in offering solar energy to members, associates or customers follow this path. You will not be eligible for this competition.
Step 2. Promote your Personal Profile
Share your personal profile on social media or directly with friends. You’ll receive compensation and prizes for everyone who goes solar through your profile!
Don’t forget to make your profile public first. You can do that in the settings on Geostellar.

Step 3. Share Solar with People You Know
Don’t wait for people to come to your page. If a friend expresses interest in solar, let them know about the free smart control offer, the March Madness competition and the benefits of Solar Club.
If they’re open to it, simply enter their information in the Share Solar form (the menu at the top of the page says “Share.”) Once we receive their information, you’ll be credited towards the competition if they switch to solar.
