About
Solidarity Hall
A podcast, a publishing project, and especially a community of friends with overlapping interests in localism, liberation theology, municipalism, and the solidarity economy. We don’t worry too much about how these things fit together.
Note from the editor

Solidarity Hall is a podcast, a publishing project, and especially a community of friends with overlapping interests in localism, liberation theology, municipalism, and the solidarity economy. Among our “presiding spirits” are Karl Polanyi, Dorothy Day, E.F. Schumacher, Wendell Berry, Cornel West, Rebecca Solnit, and Pope Francis. We try to engage both the global justice movement and the great wisdom traditions of the world. You could call this combination “Utopia plus Eden” — or even the Pluriverse.
