Solve.Care is delighted to announce the release of our managed transportation benefits solution. Our Care.Wallet now features integrated support from Lyft. The solution is now accessible through Care.Wallets, connecting patients to sponsored Care Administration Networks on the blockchain-powered Solve.Care platform.

Solve.Care’s managed transportation solution allows insurers, government agencies, employers, hospitals, and clinics to deliver non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) benefits to patients and healthcare services providers. Solve.Care partnered with Lyft, one of the US’s largest private transportation companies, in March this year with the aim of improving patient care outcomes by helping people get to appointments.

The benefit is currently available to members of participating Solve.Care Care Administration Networks that sponsor services. These highly innovative Networks allow for ease of administration, care coordination, payments, and cost sharing.

Pradeep Goel, CEO of Solve.Care, said:

Our partnership with Lyft illustrates the commitment we have made to create a reliable infrastructure for our clients, giving them direct access to more affordable and effective healthcare. Solve.Care’s managed transportation solution empowers patients and their families with transportation benefits that are designed with their care in mind. The Lyft integration in our Care.Wallet will help reduce appointment no-shows and cancellations. This will not only improve and ensure a better outcome, but will provide continuity in a patient’s care cycle. This service is just one of many steps we are taking that will help fill the gap in patient healthcare.

The transportation solution gives patients the means to schedule rides to and from healthcare appointments, pharmacies, and other sponsored locations. In addition, with the integration of Lyft into the Solve.Care platform, network care coordinators will be better able to plan, as now they can receive estimated ride times and estimated and actual ride costs.

Solve.Care Chief Technical Officer Vadym Vorobiov shared more about how the solution works.

The transportation benefit is presented as the Book-a-Ride Care.Card in the Care.Wallet application. Users must have the Care.Wallet application installed on their smartphone and participate in a sponsoring Care Administration Network (CAN). Patients and network participants can access transportation benefits through their Care.Wallet without needing to download a separate app. In addition, patients, sponsors, or networks can pay in full or share costs for rides.

Payments for transportation are made using SOLVE, Solve.Care’s digital currency. SOLVE represents the first use of digital currency in the healthcare industry, whereby a blockchain-based digital token is being used to access healthcare services.

Care.Wallet is available to download on Apple’s App Store and Google Play in more than 80 countries worldwide.
