Relish them all !!

Sharad Poonam aka Kojagiri is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Maharashtra and other states of Gujrat and West Bengal. This occasion marks the beginning of the harvest season and the end of monsoon.

There is a tradition to remain awake all night, it is believed that goddess Lakshmi visits her devotees and blesses the one who remains awake. I remember when I was small my mother use to make this yummy masala doodh which the whole family use to relish at the night under the moonlight.

Why drink milk on Kojagiri?

It is said that the acidity levels aggravate in the body during the end of monsoon. So, there is a need for coolants to neutralize the acidity and balance it.

Well, Masala doodh is one of the most common dishes served on this day there is also a tradition to make milk mixed with rice flakes. But, why lean on only milk recipes.

Here are 5 recipes which you can make on kojagiri for your family

We actually do not need a festival for shrikhand, Don’t you agree? Shrikhand is one such luscious and prime delicacies that is an excellent fit for any feast and get together. So there is no harm in trying Shrikhand this festive season.

Gulab Jamun

Yet another classic Indian sweet dish basically a dessert to be served chill. Very famous food dish during festive meals and is loved and relished by all. I remember my granny used to make it using Khoya and milk, now we get ready to make packets that are less messy.

An indulgent desert for festive season. Malpua is traditionally north Indian sweet pancakes coated with sugar syrup. However these pancakes are hugely popular with rabadi. A must try for kojagiri
