Make Room; I’m a Doctor!
This is the day when God sent me a message.
As Dr. Cox from the hit show Scrubs once said, people choose to study medicine and become doctors for one (if not all) of the following four reasons:
- Chicks
- Money
- Power
- and the most important one, chicks
After starting my specialty, I feel like I’ve finally found my steps and purpose in life. I want to help people as much as possible.
However, I’d be lying to you if I didn’t say that I’m enjoying the social perks of being a doctor.
As soon as you mention to people that you’re a doctor, they look at you… different. You have status, power, and a lot of attention.
What people don’t see is that with all of these perks, there’s a lot of baggage that you have to carry once practicing this profession.
Let me tell you a small story that happened today that brought me down to earth.
