I read this online a couple of days ago and this six-word sentence made so much sense.
Every day we’re bombarded by stimulants, our phones are constantly ringing, there are countless notifications, e-mails, texts, and your aunt Jenny whom you haven’t seen in five years is still sending you cat videos on Messenger.
Lately, it feels like every day is slipping faster and faster from our hands and there’s nothing we can do about it.
We wake up, grab our phones, and go on with our day completely distracted from the real world. We go to our work or uni, and we’re working in front of a computer, or taking down notes on our phone. After we finish work we get home, and guess what? There’s the TV for us to watch Netflix, and our phone for us to scroll through TikTok because our day was extremely tiring.
This might not be you, but that’s the reality for many millions, of people.

From TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, Twitch streamers, Netflix shows, online gambling, Facebook feeds, to Pinterest aesthetic pictures cheap dopamine can be found everywhere.
