Trinity’s a spandex babe, she’s sent to recruit and entice
All black clothing style, trenchcoats are worth the price
Agent Smith is a threat, there will be a fight; the red pill leads him on a quest
Neo surely does wrestle as he passes the Oracle’s test

His name is Neo and he mindbends across the land
Just like those bullets stopped by his slow-mo hand
When Morpheus finds, he really shows you all he can
Oh Neo, Neo save mankind as preplanned

I’ve seen him at the beach and I’ve seen him with Gary Busey
Bank robbing scars, bromancing with Swayze
Death by tidal wave he did excuse
Utah and Bodhi silently bid adieu

His name is Johnny and he sleuths while he gets a tan
Sparring with surfers, skydiving above the land
And when he resigns his badge sinks into the sand
Oh Johnny, Johnny in the end you got your man

Hey now woo look at that Rufus tracked you down
The telephone booth ride, the deadline arrives
History and time collide, collide, collide
They head to France, phone book’s their guide, it’s all or nothing
Their grades were sinking I tell you something they got help from Lincoln

His name is Theo and he plays in a rock band
Time travelin’ with his pal, Esquire, Bill S. Preston
They’re saving all mankind, those two Wyld Stallyns
Oh Theo, Theo he proclaims “Be Excellent”

His name is Neo, no one wears shades like he can
The Matrix redefines, Reeves is a leading man
Oh Theo, Theo hear them sing with Wyld Stallyns
From San Dimas on Planet Earth to Utopialand

I’m rusty! I had to come back to this sucker a few times. Duran Duran’s iconic, “Rio,” remains a rockin’, slinky, sophisticated pop masterpiece. I featured three standout roles for A-list hunk, Keanu Reeves: Neo from The Matrix, Johnny Utah from Point Break, and Ted “Theodore” Logan from the Bill and Ted’s trilogy.

Until her 40’s, Bonnie’s worst nightmare included writing and sharing personal stories publicly. At her friends’ suggestion, she bemusedly started Bonnie’s Mixed Tape on Medium in 2017. She remains shocked that anyone reads her stories and that P.S. I Love You, Assemblage, the Writing Cooperative, and the Ascent have published her work.

Bonnie loves all types of music, but really, really, really loves the 80s.
