Songs Before My Time

Song Lyrics

Alex McCarthy, via Unsplash

I seek myself in songs before my time,
the times that never really died,
maybe all I’m searching for is a new life
through old stories told line by line.

I find myself on country roads
and they echo my longing for home,
even when the sparrows have flown,
they’ll lead me back to where I need to go.
