Song of the Lark

Within A Feather

Fernando Lavin, via Unsplash

Within a feather,
I can see another light
that time never knew —
great mysteries transcend grief
and eternity remains.

I do not yet know
what the light is telling me
or where the feather
was a humble sojourner—
but I know the light’s still there.
