Cold Cave: people are poison

Everything change and we’ll all change again, sings Wesley Eisold in his latest musical recipe: a new pungent aroma compared to his past hardcore cult bands, now wrapping you with elegance and nostalgia into 80’s postpunk-synthpop-darkwave flavours. Cold Cave formed in 2007 in Los Angeles as a solo project, but with tons of artists contributing both in studio and on tour (including Genesis P-Orridge and Boyd Rice, two experimental-industrial music pioneers). A strong voice, persuasive Gary Numan-like synths and vulnerable lyrics, for dancing pretty sad with a romantic malaise.

Love comes close
But chooses to spare me
Death comes close
But ceases to take me
I want to twist
The knife a bit deeper
To siphon the love
From the hearts I believed in
