Why are some of the best black metal bands one-man bands? Is it related to the fact that black metal guys are usually lonely and anti-social? Who knows… What I know is that Panopticon (formerly from Kentucky and now Minnesota) is not an exception, and it surely is one of the best black metal bands. Multi-instrumentalist Austin Lunn combines elements from black and death metal, post rock, post metal, and even folk, country and bluegrass, to create a unique sound very hard to classify.
