The first impression, his long torso feels a little bit… intimidating, I must say. He catches the attention of many. For me who loves to just perch on branches unnoticed, it’s too much of a stare. Little birds get curious about him, but he is perceived as someone who’s a little bit too bizarre to approach.

Well, he gets that a lot. But he’s not like that. At all.

His wide wings are used not to scare, but to protect. His large beak holds the secret to the rotating universe and ever-changing seasons. His walloping feet leave trails towards the open sky.

The moment all those little birds and bards get to know him, he’s the most fun uncle bird to play with. His days are always surrounded by laughter, of him and the people around him. He tells people stories of the unknown lands that he has been to, filling up the children’s cups with wonder and innocence.

Standing out with his darkest feather and long limbs, he embraces the brightest personality as sunshine. With his Shoebill stride, he straddles along the Kingdom to find the prettiest flowers, to collect the sunshine and rainbows, to dance with twinkling stars, to pluck out every sadness to be extracted into a silver thread. He put the silver threads on his pair of magic moccasin tucked away for a bad day.
