I love the romance of streets washed with rain;
Running reflections of lights on wet tar,
Like cold dark nights full of twinkling stars,
And rain on the roof plays a melancholy refrain.

Sad eyes run with tears like streaking windows;
For a Heart that is heavy with bitter memories
Of a love washed away…
