How to Buy $XOR on Polkaswap
This tutorial will show you how to use the Hashi bridge to move assets from the Ethereum mainnet over to the SORA network. Let’s get started!
To get started, you will need the following:
- The Polkadot.js browser extension (Available here)
- Metamask (or another ERC-20 wallet of your choice) with enough ETH for bridge fees
- A SORA network account (Here is a tutorial on SORA accounts)
1- On a web browser, go to https://polkaswap.io/ and connect your SORA account
2- Within the Polkaswap interface, navigate to the Bridge section.
3- Make sure that From is pointing to the Ethereum mainnet and connect your Metamask wallet. You will be able to transfer ETH or DAI from the Ethereum mainnet over to the SORA network.
4- Select the token, and the amount to transfer then make sure you have enough ETH to cover the transfer costs, then confirm the transaction.
5- Wait for the funds to transfer from the Ethereum mainnet into the SORA network. It is very important that you allow both transactions to complete. Depending on network use and saturation, it could take a while, so be patient. If there are any issues, you can ask in the SORA Happiness Telegram group. While you will need to have enough ETH to cover Ethereum mainnet gas costs, XOR transaction fees are deducted from the tokens you bring across the bridge.
6- Once your tokens arrive in the SORA network, navigate to the Swap section. Here you can exchange them for XOR, VAL, PSWAP, or XSTUSD.
