Welcome to the July 27th Ecosystem Updates!
You are Here
It has been a busy two weeks since the last updates, with most of the development work focusing on the SORA Kusama parachain. We are happy to announce that the parachain is up and running, producing blocks, and you can find it listed on Polkadot.js!
The trustless multi-EVM network bridge has great progress as well. It recently underwent an audit and the team is working on addressing the points raised. A bridge, especially a trustless one needs to be waterproof and bulletproof, so no corners can be cut because the consequences could be tragic… but don’t worry, we are working hard to ensure that the bridge is safu.
Last fortnight, the main overlapping aspect was the upgrade to Substrate 4. We are happy to announce that the upgrade is live in the dev environment and undergoing testing. The update should be ready to be rolled out soon! This fortnight, we are working hard on the implementation of Beefy proofs. Beefy’s implementation is an important factor to ensure the EVM bridge’s security.
The progress of this implementation is also dependent on the team over at Parity, and we stand in solidarity with their team and look forward to the developments achieved by them. We are also open and available for cross-team collaborations to ensure that the overall Polkadot ecosystem can benefit from the advantages of this innovative technology.
There have also been some important progress with the SORA Builders Programme. We onboarded ADAR last week and the Ceres team has made huge steps forward with the development of DEO Arena. The Alpha version is currently live, so you can get a taste of the gameplay ahead of the release and first season. See you in the Arena!
That’s all for the summary of the current SORA Integrated Plan updates. Let’s move on to the development highlights… But first, we are happy to announce that the SORA Economic Forum will be held on the 23rd of September. More news on the SORA Economic Forum will be shared soon! Thank you for following the SORA Integrated Plan progress and we look forward to updating you again in two weeks!
You can find the summary of the integrated plan points published in the July 14 ecosystem updates on the SORA Wiki.

The SORA for Sri Lanka website hosts the open letter that was sent to all Sri Lankans and published in Sinhala, Tamil, and English in major newspapers.
As the economy for many worlds, the best place to begin would be Planet Earth and the best time to begin is now. As once major economies have been crippled by greed and the desire to accumulate funds, instead of making them work to improve societies. If you are interested in the ongoing dialogue around the open letter to the people of Sri Lanka, join the dedicated Telegram community.

👷🏽♀️ SORA Builders Programme updates:
It has taken some time, but we have onboarded the next SORA Builder. We would like to welcome the Abed group, who are developing Advanced Digital Asset Routing (ADAR) to the SORA Builders Programme.
ADAR is a solution that will allow businesses to seamlessly transmit digital assets to payees around the world. This will be done at a lower cost, higher speed, and with less red tape than the current implementations.
The team at ADAR requested a grant that will be divided into three milestones;
- $50k released on completion of first market validation and product design finalization (already completed)
- $50k to be released on launch of MVP (in progress)
- $50k to be released on the signing of the first two paying customers (in progress)
Here is the proposal submitted by ADAR, for more information on the Abed Group, take a look at this deck, and to try the version available from the completion of the first milestone, visit the ADAR website.
Welcome to the SORA Builders Programme, we look forward to further developments from ADAR!
On to updates from the team over at CERES. The Alpha release of the DEO Arena was released last week, allowing players to get a taste of the controls and gameplay. The team is hard at work developing matchmaking functionality and endpoint testing. We look forward to the full release of DEO Arena and the first season!
The Demeter Farming platform is live and users can stake in liquidity pool pairs or also single-sided staking with interesting APR*. New pools are constantly added, as well as Polkaswap integration. For more information, read this Medium article on the Demeter platform.

About SORA, Polkaswap, and Fearless Wallet
SORA is a new economic system aimed at creating a supranational multiverse economic system with built-in tools for decentralized finance (DeFi). The SORA network implements a new way of parachain architecture on Polkadot and Kusama network, with the capability to bridge external blockchains (like Ethereum) to the Polkadot ecosystem.
One of the DeFi applications that will run on the SORA network is Polkaswap, a noncustodial liquidity aggregating, cross-chain AMM DEX designed uniquely for the Polkadot ecosystem with boundless liquidity through its one-of-a-kind Aggregate Liquidity Technology (ALT).
Fearless Wallet is a bespoke mobile wallet designed for the decentralized future on the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem, with native support for iOS and Android platforms. A premium user experience, fast performance, and secure storage for your accounts. Fearless Wallet will integrate Polkaswap for easy, decentralized swaps of assets.
