As the festive season approaches, Sorare is gearing up to celebrate one of the most anticipated days on the NBA calendar: Christmas Day. Known for its thrilling games and unforgettable moments, Christmas Day in the NBA is more than just a handful of games; it’s a showcase of basketball at its best, featuring top teams and star players.
In the spirit of the season and the excitement of the game, we’re releasing Special Edition Cards. These will be available both for auction and as prizing for the Christmas Game Special Weekly during Game Week 18, so read below on how you can score these cards along with details on the Special Weekly competition and other Sorare NBA holiday events.
Christmas Day Special Edition Cards
Celebrate the spirit of the season with Sorare’s NBA Christmas Day Special Edition Cards! These cards will only be minted for players on the 10 teams hooping on Christmas Day, including Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Luka Dončić, Jason Tatum, Jalen Brunson and dozens more (see teams & schedule below).
There are two ways you can get a hold of these Special Edition Cards:

- Christmas Special Edition Cards will go live on Friday, Dec. 22 at 11am ET with the last auction ending on Monday, Dec. 25 at 11am ET
- 300 Limiteds, 30 Rares, 3 Super Rares, and 1 Unique will be up for sale
Note that with the upcoming release of the Collection Game, Special Edition Cards will help boost your Collection Score. This is your chance to add something amazing to your collection!
NBA Christmas Day Special Weekly (GW 18)
Our NBA Christmas Special Weekly is a one-day competition occurring during Game Week 18 (Monday, Dec. 25). It’s a day when the magic of Christmas meets the thrill of basketball. Here’s a refresher on how the competition will work
- Eligibility: Only players participating in Christmas Day games (76ers, Bucks, Celtics, Knicks, Lakers, Mavericks, Nuggets, Suns, Heat, Warriors)
- Points Cap: 120 + MVP
- Card requirements: Minimum two (2) cards must be current season 2023–24 cards. Special Edition cards are not required to enter this competition.
- Leaderboards: Common, Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique
- Prizes: Special Edition Cards are up for grabs. Also, 1st place will receive a Jalen Brunson signed merchandise pack, while other top finishers will compete for NBA Store Gift Cards.
Special Edition Card Rewards will be delivered at the close of GW 18 on Friday, Dec. 29. These will be delivered directly to Managers’ galleries via airdrop and not part of the standard claiming experience.
Core competitions will still run as normal during Game Week 18.
Win a Brunson Pro Card + Perez Player Picks
Sorare NBA Insider Rob “World Wide Wob” Perez is playing Santa: Starting Friday, head over to his social media for an exclusive giveaway surrounding the top star on his favorite team: Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks.
