The transfer market is always active, even during the month of October. Because we are still at early stages but many agents, club directors and owners are preparing possible moves for 2023. Keep an eye on these players, 5 stars who’ll likely stay in the news over the next year.

Kylian Mbappé: The situation between Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain is tense. The French star entertained some different moves during the summer market, but for now, the situation remains under control as PSG insists he won’t be for sale in January. In the summer, the situation may be different but there are still no decisions, it’s way too early. Departure in 2023: possible.

Cristiano Ronaldo: His departure from Manchester United is a serious possibility. A deal in January will depend on multiple factors; in the summer there were no proposals from top clubs, but the situation may change by midseason. One thing is certain for the summer: Man United will target a new striker. Departure in 2023: very likely.

João Félix: His situation with Atletico Madrid has not been easy. Felix has found himself on the bench too often and he’s said to be unhappy with Diego Simeone. At the same time, Atletico Madrid insists João is not for sale and he still has a €350m release clause. It’s really important to see what happens in the second part of the season. Departure in 2023: somewhat likely.

N’Golo Kanté: there’s still no agreement between Kanté and Chelsea to extend the contract, currently expiring in June 2023. N’Golo is happy in London, he’d love to stay but there’s no agreement on the potential new deal. The situation could change if the new directors decide that Chelsea will appoint in the next weeks and months; but as of today, Kanté could really leave Chelsea on a free transfer. Departure in 2023: very likely.

Harry Kane: FC Bayern consider him a fantastic striker but there are no negotiations with Kane or Tottenham, the situation is very calm around Harry as of today. There is an important detail: Tottenham want to offer Kane a new deal very soon and the player is happy with Antonio Conte, so Spurs will fight to keep Harry at the club. Departure in 2023: not sure, at all.
