For the sports scene, he’s made his mark as an entertainment and new media expert with a fearless ambition to change the status quo and an eye for new markets. To the Sorare team, he is more than an icon, he is now our ally and trusted advisor.
It’s official. Gerard Piqué — the man who’s won all the cups a footballer could ever dream of — has announced that he has made a significant investment in Sorare and will be joining the team as a strategic advisor.
The footballer and athlete investor’s love for reimagining the sports and media businesses for the audiences of tomorrow is nothing new. From modernizing the Davis Cup to developing new forms of sports entertainment, Gerard’s initiatives set new standards for sports engagement through technology.
How we’ll work together
With Gerard on board, we’ll be working together to onboard the top 20 leagues in the world. Gerard’s investment will help us expand our global presence to reach more football fans around the world.
This Seed Extension round is led by the US-based fund Cassius Family with Emmanuel Seugé. He will be helping us with his branding acumen in the global sports ecosystem to bring Sorare to new heights. As an ex Coca-Cola VP of Global Alliances, he has set new standards for brand engagement through sports.

People from all around the world can now express their fandom for a club or a player, build meaningful identities and relationships with the cards, and seize new economic opportunities around it.
