We’ve been thrilled with the success of the Club Shop in Sorare: Football and can’t wait to bring it over to Sorare: MLB. Starting Game Week 41 (Aug. 21–24), Sorare: MLB Managers can accumulate Coins based on the performance of their competition lineups and redeem them in the Club Shop.
Cards and monetary rewards will still be up for grabs; we’re just adding another way for you to progress and compete. Plus, we’re giving away 100 free Coins to every Sorare: MLB Manager when the Club Shop goes live!
With this update, we’re unlocking exciting new ways to enjoy the Sorare: MLB experience and provide in-game items to elevate your strategy. You’ll be able to redeem Coins for items like Boosts and Extra Swaps to enhance your lineups.
You can think of each sport’s Club Shop as distinct storefronts. At the outset, Coins will not be transferable across Sorare sports. In other words, you will NOT be able to redeem Coins accumulated in Sorare: MLB on the Sorare: Football or Sorare: NBA (coming soon) Club Shops. This also means that these items are carefully developed and released for their respective sports. We’re always looking to apply best practices and fun concepts across the platform, but a new item on Sorare: MLB doesn’t guarantee it’ll drop for other sports and vice-versa.

How Coins work in Sorare: MLB
To start, Managers will earn Coins by entering lineups in leaderboards (with the exception of Training and Sandlot). While all Managers who enter a lineup will earn Coins, the amount is determined by how your lineup performs in the Game Week. The higher you rank, the more Coins you get! Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
These earn rates have been meticulously reviewed so that no specific gallery gives a Manager an unfair advantage. We’ll be closely monitoring accumulation rates and adjust as necessary to ensure that gameplay is balanced. You’ll be able to see the full breakdown when Game Week 41 opens on Friday, Aug. 18.
For clarity, these coins are NOT on the blockchain; they can only be used on the Sorare platform and are not transferable to other Managers.
Initial Items in the Sorare: MLB Club Shop
We’re excited to introduce new strategic gameplay elements in Sorare: MLB. These items are intended to help Managers push their lineup just over the hump to win that next level of rewards.
Boosts
Does one of your player cards need a little jolt for the Game Week? With Boosts, you’ll be able to give them just that. Applying a Boost to a player card gives it a temporary 5 percent scoring increase. The increase lasts for only one Game Week. For example, this is how a boost will be calculated:
Bonuses for a 2023 Level 2 Julio Rodriguez Limited Card in Limited Majors w/ Boost applied:
- Season Bonus = +5%
- Rarity Bonus = +40%
- XP Bonus = +1%
- Boost = +5%
- Total = +51%
A raw score of 50 points would yield 75.5 points, as opposed to 73 points without the Boost.
While there is no limit to how many Boosts you can own, Managers should be aware that only one Boost per lineup is allowed.
The cost of Boosts vary by rarity, with higher rarity Boosts costing more:
To make it easy, you can purchase and apply a Boost while composing a lineup. Don’t forget to gain that edge that can push you to the top of the leaderboard!
Extra Swap
Looking to set that perfect Common All Star lineup, but you’re missing a solid Corner Infielder? Did you already use your Daily Swap to optimize the Relief Pitcher slot and can’t wait another 24 hours?
Well, now you can head to the Sorare Club Shop and purchase an Extra Swap.
These Extra Swaps cost 100 Coins each and can be purchased an unlimited number of times. Time to win that first Limited Card!
Physical Items
Our player ambassadors hooked us up with some awesome signed memorabilia, and they made us promise to get it into the best Managers’ hands. We know you love some Sorare swag, so we’re stocking our prize closets and getting ready to offer that as well.
We’ll be adding these to the Sorare Club Shop throughout the rest of the season, so keep setting those lineups!
