Introducing the In-Season Tournament on Sorare NBA: Compete for $100k in Cash + Signed Merch
It’s time for a new era of basketball as we introduce the In-Season Tournament on Sorare NBA.
One of the only fantasy competitions based on the NBA’s all-new tournament, Sorare’s long-format competition runs during the Group Play stage (Nov. 3–28) and offers elevated rewards, including a total of $100,000 in cash prizes across competitions!
Here’s what you need to know about the In-Season Tournament on Sorare NBA, including Game Week schedule, competition structure and eligibility, gameplay, rewards, and more.
Game Week schedule
The NBA In-Season Tournament Game Week (GW) schedule runs throughout the Group Play stage, from Nov. 3–28, and includes GW 4 and GWs 6–11. Note that there are no tournament games during GW 5.
We’ll soon share details on the Knockout Round stage competition, which will feature additional prizing (see Group Play prizing below).
Competition structure
The In-Season Tournament on Sorare NBA will consist of three new competitions, all contributing to cumulative leaderboards:
- Beginner
- Advanced
- Expert
Competition eligibility
The three competitions will be constructed as follows:
Beginner
- Eligibility: Common Cards only
- Structure: Cap 140 + MVP
Advanced
- Scarcity eligibility: Mix of Rare and/or Limited Cards
- Card eligibility: Three (3) of the cards must be 2023–24 cards
- Structure: Cap 140 + MVP
Expert
- Scarcity eligibility: Mix of Super Rare and/or Unique Cards
- Card eligibility: Two (2) of the cards must be 2023–24 cards
- Structure: Cap 140 + MVP
Gameplay & rewards
General guidelines
In every competition, whether you’re in Beginner, Advanced, or Expert, we have a few rules that will remain the same:
- Games per Game Week: During Group Play, games will be played on Tuesdays and Fridays from Nov. 3–28. Sorare’s In-Season Tournament will include one day of games per Game Week, and other regular-season games will not count.
- Cumulative scoring: Your top-five scores out of the competition’s seven Game Weeks will be scored cumulatively, determining your final competition ranking
- Scoring: Scoring will remain consistent across all aspects, including Scarcity Bonuses
- Permanent competitions: Sorare’s permanent twice-weekly competitions will continue as normal and will include all games within the Game Week, including those in the In-Season Tournament
Rewards
Prizes will be rewarded at the end of the Group Stage (GW 11) based on a Manager’s cumulative score across the seven GWs. Here’s a rewards breakdown by competition:
- Beginner: Compete for exclusive early access to the NBA Rivals Closed Beta
- Advanced: Rewards include $60,000 in total cash prizes plus signed Sorare player ambassador merch from Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, Mikal Bridges, and Paolo Banchero
- Expert: Compete for $40,000 in total cash prizes plus signed Sorare player ambassador merch from Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, Mikal Bridges, and Paolo Banchero
No Sorare player cards will be rewarded as part of our In-Season Tournament.
