Sorare Football Pitch Notes: DNP Rewards Update, Android Beta App Launch, More
As part of our commitment to regular updates, here is our latest installment of Pitch Notes.
Firstly, we’re addressing two key items based on our analysis and community feedback: DNPs and Subs added to the rewards pools, and updates to Manager Challenges. Plus, we have some exciting news to share with our Android Managers regarding app progress.
DNPs + subs in the rewards pools
We understand that certain edge cases have escaped our intended design for including non-regular starters in the rewards pool. We want to take a moment to provide clarity on this decision and address your feedback.
As outlined in the announcement, it was crucial for us to make adjustments to the rewards system to continue offering a fun and sustainable experience for our Managers. The exclusion of substitutes and DNPs had resulted in an over-reliance on regular starters, leading to an unbalanced distribution of rewards each Game Week with regards to the total supply. This change was aimed at reducing the number of duplicate player card rewards and enhancing the overall diversity of rewards.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have a clear plan to address circumstances where DNPs and substitutes are being rewarded outside of their intended rank. To address these cases, we are making the following adjustments:
- Strengthen the conditions to flag DNP players where we do not have sufficient data to accurately place the cards in our reward tiers
- Adjust the tiered position of DNPs in our prize pool to better reflect the actual appeal of those cards for Managers
These changes will be implemented during reward distribution on Friday, Dec, 22. However, please note that those changes won’t be reflected on the pools yet. It was important for us to implement as soon as possible, but it will take more time to adapt the pools display on the platform.

New Android app in beta
We are thrilled to announce the imminent launch of the new Sorare Android app open beta, a significant milestone in our mission to make Sorare your ultimate fantasy sports mobile companion.
As we shared in previous announcements, we have dedicated considerable effort to revamping our Android app. After weeks of rigorous testing by a group of Sorare Managers in closed beta, we are almost in a place to extend the opportunity for all interested Android-based Sorare Managers to participate in the open beta phase and provide valuable feedback.
With this new Android app, nearly everything that was once exclusive to Sorare’s web platform will be accessible at your fingertips on mobile; get ready to enjoy the full spectrum of Sorare features on your Android device!
We will give you further details on how to enroll when the beta goes live in the coming days.
Please note that we’re also actively working on the Sorare iOS app, and hope to soon bring similar improvements to your iOS devices.
Manager Challenges: Common Pro update
In our current Common Pro eligibility rules, Managers are locked out of Common Pro Competitions once they own 10 or more Limited Cards. As a result, we received many requests to automatically complete Common tasks when a Manager has collected 10 or more Limited Cards.
Good news for the completists out there: Common Pro challenges are now automatically checked as complete for Managers who have 10 or more Limited Cards.
