First off, kudos to the Texas Rangers for capturing their first World Series title. More importantly, major congratulations to the Sorare: MLB Managers who dominated the Championship Chase competitions!

Over six Game Weeks, they battled their way to the top and etched their names into the Sorare history books. Bask in the glory of these podium finishers:

As Sorare: MLB Season 2 comes to a close, we want to express our gratitude for your continued support throughout the season. Before the Hot Stove heats up and Winter Meetings kick off, here’s an overview of what to expect during the offseason, including updates on new card auctions, Special Edition Cards, Collection Game, offseason XP, and more.

New card auctions

While auctions will slow down over the offseason, we are committing to maintaining a minimum of 24 player cards listed at any given time. Be on the lookout for opportunities to strategically add to your gallery ahead of Season 3.

Special Edition Cards

To celebrate the MLB end-of-season award winners, Special Edition Cards will be hitting the Marketplace during the offseason. These will commemorate players who had award-winning seasons on the diamond while also securing rewards for Managers each Game Week. We’ll share more details about these exciting Award Edition Cards soon!

Collection Game details

As we previously communicated, the Collection Game will be slightly tweaked from the initial release a couple of months ago. To confirm, Collections will be grouped by scarcity, team, and season going forward. This allows for a more organized and strategic approach.

Here’s what else you can expect for the Collection Game, launching in Season 3.

Each card will now have a Collection Score based on different factors:

  • Owned: The card is in your collection
  • 90d: The card was not listed or transferred in the last 90 days
  • New Card: You are the first owner of this card
  • Special: The card features a special edition design
  • #1 Serial Number: The first card minted
  • Jersey #: Serial number matches the player’s jersey number

Offseason XP

Cards will not accumulate XP in the offseason. While this was the case after Season 1, this was done to help cards “catch up” due to the inaugural launch occurring mid-season. As a result, we will not be doing the same heading into Season 3.

Existing Common Cards retired for S3

As we did entering Season 2, all existing Common Cards will be retired when we open Season 3. As always, your Pro Cards (Limited, Rare, Super Rare and Unique) belong to you, and Sorare will never remove them from your collection.

Thank you

We’re excited to embark on this journey into Sorare: MLB Season 3 with you, and hope you are as thrilled as we are about the upcoming changes and improvements. Stay tuned for more updates, and, as always, please reach out if you have any feedback.

Thank you for being a part of the Sorare community. Your enthusiasm and participation make it all worthwhile. We’ll see you in 2024 for an even better Sorare: MLB!
