Our weekly SotW post gathers our ATTCK team’s three favorite websites for the week. Some are useful, some are just fun, others beautiful, and some are… charming. What they all have in common is that we were in some way inspired by them, their features, animation, and content. We hope you’ll enjoy it!

If you have any suggestions on sites worthy of a feature, tweet us at @attck or comment below.

Typography dorks, rejoice! This website lets you explore three periods in the history of print: the Middle Ages, midcentury Sweden, and the punk scene of the ’70s through the ’90s. The layouts are clever, bold, and fun, with large-scale graphics of all the beautiful handwriting and type.

Steve Singerman / Producer

I’m not thrilled about the UX of this site—it’s supposed to be a simple random image generator, but while there are some cool features, categorization is not one of them. However, you can browse all the images and reference a specific one, so after a little bit of searching, it does what you need. And the images are nice. While it’s not user-friendly, it could be helpful in development for placeholder images.

Dan O’Dea / Developer

A great reference for ethical and humane user patterns and digital products. Not only is the site beautifully designed and simple —it’s a thoughtful resource.
