Have you ever felt that pain?

Cutting sharply, invading every cell
engulfing every sense as molten lava
proliferating like cancer
searing hot blazing red
chocking crushing
annihilating —
Cells, caged restless fighting
the shackles
tossing and Turning
hungering to break free?
failing each and every time
screaming exasperated hurt
not giving up
trudging along
clutching the air
fisting the abstract?!

Yes.
give it roots
let it breathe
eat, sleep and dream
of destruction
Fill itself with pride
it’s unstoppable —
Ignite your mind in that raging agony
wrap your soul in that indomitable
torment
glow in that insatiable inferno —
make it your own

And GROW.

“Be brave to be bad at something new. Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle, or your middle to someone else’s end. Don’t compare the start of your second quarter of life to someone else’s third quarter” — Jon_Acuff

Also sharing the first ever surface I painted, which was an abandoned piece of stone. I did score some growth from here too!

Statistically Speaking: I wrote this poem even before Medium happened and was happy to see this shape up just the way I wanted it to. The reason I named it ‘Growth’.
For some rationale I found this poem apt to be shared today.

This month till now has been a mix bag — some anxious moments of letting go, anticipation of new, festivities with family after good many years, fatigue & season change blues and Boost.

I have been away from Medium for about a month now barring some pieces I managed to write that helped me process the happenings and what kept my score board ticking are two of these articles which went for a boost— a deeply personal story about letting go titled October and an infotainment article on Autumn festivities (Durga Puja) Debipokkho-the-descend.

The qualitative and statistical relevance of boosted articles is nothing much to talk about but for some wince & grimace should I hope of 1 (one) clappers turning to 50 clappers (in our dreams) it would be an excellent overt engagement too.

Also, riding on the Medium Day Video release and two boosts, I have clocked my fastest 500 follow in 1&1/2 months in spite of being away, but wondering how many are real accounts.
But in this debate I would like to add, I have a few of my family and friends as non-member-non-writer-account-holders who I know do read whatever is available to them.

To negate all these accounts as fake can be ill-informed.

I don’t think I am airing anything unique here that the platform is not already abuzz with, but I am overwhelmed every time an article is chosen from Soul Bay for a boost since I began my David-ian fight against the Goliath-ian number board.

To put things in perspective, the first ever article that was published from this Publication by another writer was also chosen for a boost.
Find the article below by Somsubhra Banerjee, Skyscraper’s-Soliloquy-and-the-hut .

Finishing with an Abstract painting depicting Bijoya ( last day of Durga Puja) and Duhssera ( marking the victory of truth over vices) and wishing the same to everyone who celebrates and also to those who doesn’t :)
