Not Everyday is About You
Cloud Break, Flare Cafe, Catching the Ray
What is this life if, full of care,We have no time to stand and stare? — No time to stand beneath the boughs, And stare as long as sheep and cows,No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass: No time to see, in broad daylight,Streams full of stars, like skies at night — W. H. DAVIES, Leisure
The wedged pieces of the torn
Paper floats away,
Showing the way wind is moving…..
You are earth, rooted,
Only branches sway to greet
the wind.
I lack the compass to navigate.
Leaving Sun, leaves trail,
Moon yet to mature,
Pacing up and down
the dwindling sky,
Sorry stars sit on a wall
Swinging funny legs,
Humpty-Dumpty faced,
Sky decides to close the show.
My tube of toothpaste looks
crinkled, crushed and finished —
Violated to its last drop.
Spent. Thrown.Dead.
But we are humans.
We replenish.Rejuvenate.
Looking up the sordid sky
Dark, uninspiring —
But hopeful.
Twilight dawns on my mind,
Shallow light of fading hope,
A gush of wind gulps on my
fluttering scalp-strands. I turn Right.
The angry wind look daggers,
”Not everyday is about you”.
I agree.
And
Wonder why then a candle burns to death
To paint her own shadow on that dark dark wall….
Time to sparkle my teeth.
Eh!

There is no back story.
At best be called a manufacturing defect. But any ‘routine’ makes me feel gaged. It has been a year of continuous writing and reading and I could feel boredom gripping me.
But when I can’t pull the plugs, my system does that for me and an autoimmune flare it is. A bad one.But when life serves me lemon, well…I actually enjoy the lemony fresh feeling around me, and coming out of it is refreshing. Always!
Thank you to everyone who cared to visit Soul Bay, in my absence. I hope to catch up with all soon.
It is this inspiration I carry forward to my next station for creation !
