Sunlight

A love poem

Think of how the sun
moves over the world,
endlessly spilling light,
illuminating mountains and oceans
and pouring in through morning windows,
how the earth always turns to face the rays.
It’s always sunrise somewhere.
This is what our love has been to me:
a sun that never stops rising.
