On my wish list — Nathdwara
I have been reading about Pichwai paintings since past few days which led me to the temple town Nathdwara in India. Now this city is on my wish list because of the artists’ colony there. I wish to go there and wander in the lanes of the city and soak in the vibe. My country, India, is like a storybook for me and each day I learn something new. Till the time I go to the city I will explore the paintings and the stories behind them.
I have already selected one painting which I will be starting soon for now it’s miniature paintings from Rajasthan which is keeping me busy. The art here is a work in progress and I am doing this very slowly because along with Radha, Krishna is here with cows. The vibrancy of the colour red in the background, the cows grazing and Krishna with his flute — I was drawn to this image.
