Ajanta caves, tracing my roots, poem

I am free like FREEDOM today
Charting a path called life,
Feeling my roots beneath my toes
Fingers touching the stars.

That tiny dot in the Universe
Is where I this day belong,
Will fill the space with gratitude
For bygones and times to come.

I bring my tidings from the pages of history
Carry in me the old,
Civilisation where humanity took roots,
Where silence precedes OM!

Dating back to 2nd Century BCE, the caves of Ajanta,(location:Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India), are 30-rock cut temple, showcasing the finest in art,of Buddhist origin. I had the fortune of visiting these caves and was in awe, at the inspiration, expertise and sense of creativity that adorns the walls of the caves even after 2000 years.
The most spiritual and humbling experience for me so far, it made me realise, what gargantuan abilities we human are endowed with and how little we find in use, walking through our mundane life.

Thank you for taking note
