Hi Love,
I stretched, yawned, and rolled over to check the time.
The house wasā¦
still.
quiet.
peaceful.
I rolled out my yoga mat, turned on my diffuser, and began to move.
Life hasnāt always looked this way for me.
There have been seasons where my morning routine feels like a joyful safe space, like a beacon calling to the depths of my soul.
And other times when it doesnāt feel like thereās enough space to fit in a single downward dog. š
Creating this space in your mornings isnāt always easy.
But it is SO worth it.
I used to tell myself, āIām NOT a morning person.ā
That sentence unknowingly became part of my identity.
My natural body rhythm gently wakes me before the sun comes up most mornings. And I might get up and go to the restroom or peek at the clock, groan, roll over, and go back to sleep.
But recently, I decided to try something different. I started to tell myself that, āI AM a morning person.ā
When I got out of bed to use the restroom in the mornings, I ambled over to my yoga mat instead of getting back into bed.
I decided to CHOOSE to do the things that helped me step into my vision.
This wasnāt easy and I still have to intentionally decide to wake up instead of snuggling deeper under the coversā¦
But the benefits of carving out this quiet time just for me has had more benefits than I can count.
Taking time to nurture your mind, body, and soul each day has a remarkable impact on your inner and outer world as a mom.
