Do You Know Who You Are?
“The greatest tragedy of a life that has been lived is to never have had the courage to meet oneself.” ~C. Adia
Who are you?
There’s the surface you who has formed to survive, fit it, be loved and get attention; a you developed from the cause and effect of life experiences. There’s also a part of you that was established in childhood as a byproduct of your primary caretaker’s influence; or lack thereof. Until now there have probably been numerous situations and circumstances where the surface you was a necessary evil to navigate the terrain of life. But, now it’s time to go deeper.
It’s time to go past your surface and into your heart and soul. It’s time to meet the greatest guru, truest friend and most trusted confidante you will every have, the one that has always been with you and will never leave you — yourself.
The time has come for all of humanity to let the facades go.
If you’re not crystal clear about who you really are then your only true job in life is to be about the business of finding out. Once you know who you are everything else will flow from that truth. When you know who you are you’ll be the constant among the people, situations, circumstances and experiences that surround you.
“This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” ~William Shakespeare
