Personal Growth Is Never Final — It’s An Ongoing Process…
Growth is a continuum. It’s a rewarding, but challenging love affair. There is no mountaintop or pinnacle to reach in this lifelong career.
Awareness, enlightenment, personal growth is not a destination at which you one day arrive. It’s a ceaseless journey.
Perspective is a bitch. You think you’re right…until you discern you’re wrong.
The moment you think you’ve mastered something, you will be put to the test. The moment you think you know, you’ll be shown that you know nothing at all. The moment you get into an intimate relationship, conditioning will be called to the surface to heal.
Old ways, old habits, old patterns are sent as roadblocks in an attempt to keep us stuck. It’s easier to stay comfortable, to stay where you are. Initially, it’s uncomfortable to grow. To push your limits, to challenge your way of thinking, to let go of control, to redefine what’s real…that’s serious business.
But, there’s so much beauty in the process; so much beauty in the internal shifts. Ideals alter, paradigms fall, realities change as you do.
I can’t emphasize enough that awareness, enlightenment, growth is not something you finally obtain. If you’re embarking on a spiritual path thinking there’s a point when you’ll be done — a point when you’ll finally be ‘enlighten,’ a point when you’ll get ‘there’ — I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there’s not. Life doesn’t hand out Growth and Development PhDs.
Those with expanded awareness understand, perhaps better than others, that they actually know nothing at all. The more you know, the more you realize you don’t know.
When you decide to expand yourself, who you are and what you know, you’re embarking on the rollercoaster ride of a lifetime. There will be twist, turns, climbs, drops and plateaus. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Rest assured it will be the thrill of your life. Daring, immensely rewarding and full of joy.
