Truth = Freedom

“Truth is the only safe ground to stand on.” ~Elizabeth Cady Stanton

What I know to be true is that the only path to freedom is truth.

But this doesn’t just mean truth with others; as a matter of fact being honest with others, while important, isn’t ground zero for truth. First and foremost it means being truthful with yourself. It means calling yourself on your own bullshit and catching yourself in the internal lies you tell. It means bringing awareness to the justifications you make for yourself when no one else is watching.

If you’re truthful with everyone else but you neglect to tell the truth to yourself; you are not living in internal integrity and you are not an honest person. When you learn to be blatantly honest within yourself the choices you make and the way you navigate life changes.

When you walk in truth, you walk in internal serenity and authenticity.
