Have you ever wondered whether there is more to life? And I don’t mean it in terms of achieving something bigger — greater. I’m referring more to the way you perceive yourself — the image that has been instilled on you which society says describes everything you stand for; your name, your age, your job, your nationality, even your passion.

Have you ever wondered whether you truly are the definition of all these earthly characteristics? That there’s a possibility you are so much more than these labels?

We grow up in an environment that teaches us to identify with a particular group, institution, or belief, practically from the moment we are born. Our bodies, in other words, are placed in categories that conform to a specific section of the world; a perception of the world. Along with a perception of the world comes a perspective of life, and how one should go about living it.

A perspective, in definition, is a point of view. In a world that is populated by nearly 8 billion people, each person is naturally expected to carry their own angle from which to view life. A trait that is meant to portray us as unique individuals has, however, transformed into a feature of collective competition.
