We get asked a lot about blogging, copy-writing, and social engagement.

While there are a lot of uphill battles with your social platforms that may seem hard to overcome (hello, consistency, we see you!), there are some easier tweaks you can make to bump up those influence numbers.

First, image choice. Do not pick stuffy stock images — don’t do it!! With so many excellent, free, commercially usable options now, there are no excuses to be using old, tired stock images. Unsplash and pexels are our favorites.

Then, link out. The more engagement sites have with you and you have with sites, the better. Google will begin to trust your website and your rankings will increase. I know guest-blogging was popular a while back, but the sentiment is the same. Engage responsibly online and it will help you out.

Next, engage-able/shareable content is key. Whether people can like, comment, follow and engage on your content is essential. Whatever the platform utilize their engagement opportunities to grow your audience.

Also, title specificity is easy and useful. Clarify your writing by including a parenthetical notation after the title; brackets work well. If you have certain steps, make sure to number them. Making the point as easy to understand for the reader will help your content become more important.

Lastly, trending content is your friend. While you certainly need to write content about issues that matter to your industry, jumping on a trending topic may help your shots of being found or engaging with fellow influencers.

It’s not always easy to come up with productive content, but when you do put information out there, you want it to work for you. Make sure to implement these small tweaks to take your writing to the next level.
