Brownie Meets Cookie
A dazzling recipe I came across!
Scrolling through my boredom, I stumbled upon this recipe, where “Brownie Meets Cookie”. A delicacy enjoyed by thousands of people across the world. You must have somewhere, sometimes, stuck upon the choice of choosing between a fudgy, gooey, “Brownie” and a “chewy, soft-centered, gold-edged, crispy and chocolate “Cookie”, and that must have been the trickiest choice you’ve ever made. No worries, in today’s blog, you’ll be getting rid of making this hard decision and instead, get the joys of the crispiness of a cookie, and the chewiness of the brownie on a single plate. Let’s make, “Brownie Meets Cookie”.
Important: You need to chill the dough for around 25 minutes, so the cookies don’t come out flat.
To make Brownie meet with a Cookie, you’ll need.
🍫3/4 cup chocolate
🧈1/4 cup butter
🌾1/2 cup all-purpose flour
🥄1+1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
🥄1/2 teaspoon baking powder
🥚1 egg
🥄6 tbsp caster sugar
🥄4 tbsp brown sugar
The next step after assembling the ingredients is to;
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Make a baking tray ready along with parchment paper.
- Melt the 3/4 cup chocolate and butter in a double boiler over medium heat. Stir continuously until the chocolate and butter have melted. Take the saucepan away from the boiler and let the mixture cool down.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, caster sugar, and light brown sugar using an electric mixer or your hand until fluffy. Add the cooled chocolate mixture into the bowl and mix well.
- Next, add flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder and mix ably to form a batter-like texture.
- Using an ice cream scoop, or a spoon, scoop out portions of the cookie mixture onto the prepared baking tray. Keep sufficient space between them as they will spread.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes. Let them cool on the tray before you remove them.
