Just for a while
Stay with me, sit with me, see me
By then you would have known my heart
How it sings; How it expresses itself to love

Just for a while, look into my eyes
that you may see a glimpse of my soul
Sing with me, blend in the melody
that you may understand the intentions of my heart

Just for a while, feel my hands
How it moves and fills the pages with life
Words, prose, song lyrics, arts and crafts

Trace the calluses that tell stories
Each ridge and scar is a testament to toil
Molding dreams from the raw clay of existence

Move your fingers across the pulsating veins of my arms
These hands rugged with time
Hold the strength of a thousand labor
