shouldn’t frighten
I hear your laugh in her voice every day
I see your grin on her face each afternoon
and I feel the warmth of your hand on my shoulder
in every friendly embrace
I stopped looking for you and was afraid
in doing that
I would forget you
but oddly enough now,
I see you everywhere
