Pandemic passed
New problems to grasp
Lip service holds sway

Replace any spare piece of land
With a skyscraper, that’s grand
Rules passe, live the modern way

Trees felled
Forests disappear and melt
Here plush hotel constructed for high and mighty

AI slowly becoming a threat
People despair, some eyes wet
Luxury conferences, slapdash solutions, we in dismay

Ordinary people, bearing the brunt
Moneybags, surrounded by wealth and scent
Who’s in charge, leading us astray
