A Poem

Around the fire, we sat

To welcome the hero back

The oldest of the group stood up

With the tale for the centuries

She fought all the monsters alone

Let me tell you, made like a stone

They can fly, they breathe fire

She stood the ground, sword in hand

Over the sky reaching the wall, As a dot, I saw

They launched, grande, no flaw

Felt like meteors falling, in a trail of embers

She stood the ground, sword in hand

I never heard her say she can’t

For the first, she put the sword through its eyes

It went blind, and burned the one standing beside

For the next, she fought, of desire

To live or to die? For her, life, a satire

Decisions made in a wink

All or not, not to repent nor think

Through embers, she walked back

All cried out her name

Hero of the centuries

The embers burned out

In a sand storm, the stories washed off

Deep in the desert, fossils were found

Those where the angels, they said

magnificent with wings

Sheltered us in the storm

Tales turned, As sail of the ship with wind in the sea

She is the monster, who killed the angels

They cried out her name

Villain of the centuries

I wonder, what would they call you?

When the embers of you faded.

I hope you enjoy the poem, and have a nice day, follow for more poems.
