The Headless Rider

A poem

Beneath the midnight eerie shroud,
the headless rider roams unbound,
In spectral form, a fearsome sight,
chasing souls through the ghostly night.

His steed, a black horse with eyes aflame,
A creature born of sorrow and shame.
With eyes that burn a crimson red,
guiding lost souls to their eternal bed.

With each hoof’s echo, dread descends,
as fate and doom forever blend,
In moonlight’s pale, unearthly glow.
the headless rider claims his woe.

He seeks lost souls, a twisted game,
whispering each one’s secret name;
in shadows deep, where nightmares thrive,
they dance with death, forever alive.

Beware the night when specters ride,
In haunting terrors, none can hide,
The headless rider’s quest, oh why,
to chase you down, to make you die.

I hope you enjoy it.
