The Outside is Just an Introduction

Covers Are Just Introductions
My son wears black. His hair is long and bushy, and he has a decently full beard. As a young twenty something year old, he is expressing his individuality.
I honestly think having a monochrome wardrobe is just easier. He doesn’t have to think. He reaches into his closet in the dark and whatever comes out will match. I might even envy him a little. I spend far too much time figuring out if my blouse matches my pants in the morning.
I can understand that from the outside he might look less than ordinary. His dark eyes match his dark attire. He isn’t super expressive and probably looks a little intimidating. However, the outside is just an introduction to who we are on the inside. He’s actually super fun and funny with a wicked witty personality.
He’s a fun-loving gamer, who loves to bake and spent his entire Saturday learning how to make his granny’s chicken stew. They made enough stew to fill one side of the deep freezer. It’s delicious though and we look forward to many family dinners.
