A little-known fact about Christmas: this was the busiest time of year for the Tooth Fairy Corporation. Between children knocking those baby teeth loose after one candy cane too many and kids losing teeth playing hooky and ice-skating, the fairies were almost as busy as Santa and his elves.

“Seriously, Reese again?” Fawn groaned as she was handed her newest assignment. This would be the third time in less than a month that she was having to go visit this kid. Reese Harper was a boy with a killer sweet tooth and enjoyed playing close-contact sports. She was pretty sure the fairy in HR hated her as she seemed to always get the worst cases.

“On the bright side, you get to go out into the field. I’m stuck filing this stack of paperwork”, her co-worker, Adelina sympathized as her luminescent purple wings fluttered behind her and sent said stack of paperwork flying to the floor. “Oh shoot!”

“I better get going. I’m sure that kid is already with the dentist by now”, Fawn huffed and beat back her own sparkling golden wings to take flight.
