A longing quite exemplary

A poem on true love

Photo by Hans Veth on Unsplash

Cuckoo stood
Poised with its
armour
of patience and
love for the
truth
It looked
at the sky
with piercing
hope
A longing
with a dash
of a strange
humble pride
And it began to
rain
Rather pour
Quenching its thirst
it fluttered
with happiness
Drenched was this
bird,
with the renewed sweetness
in the zephyr
Danced to the rain’s
rhythm
with an appetence
so surreal
What an example
of unflinching faith
and true love, so crystal clear!
