Ma Chandraghanta is the third Goddess manifestation of the Navadurga (nine forms of Goddess Durga). Navaratri (the nine nights festival) celebrates the divine feminine.

Chandraghanta is made up of the words chandra meaning moon and ghanta meaning bell. Chandraghanta is the married form of the Mother Goddess. After getting married to Shiva, she adorned her forehead with a half moon shaped like a bell, which explains the origin of her name. She is the goddess who inspires courage in a person and is always ready for war against demons. When provoked, she can be malevolent to those who invite her wrath, but she remains the embodiment of serenity to her followers.”

Ma,

to save your mother
you even frighten
the source of life
the love of your life

you transform into
the gold skinned
goddess taming
the angriest beast

Ma,

even Shiva bows
in front of your
wild form of eight
hands of weapons

they destroy the
demons that plague me,
with other two hands
you bless me

with your lotus
and a half moon
your fragrance and
your divine sound
