Letting Go of Control in Love
Love is everywhere — the challenge is surrendering to it
Letting go of control involves more than just giving someone the go ahead to to do something.
It also involves identifying what you need and giving it to yourself.
Love comes in all forms:
“Everything that you love, you will eventually lose, but in the end, love will return in a different form.” — from the Kafka and the Doll legend
Intuitively I know this is true. And I know polyamory is a spiritual journey — a practice of letting go of ownership and letting love in.
I think of a saying from ALANON that a friend taught me: “Let go and let god.”
I prefer the words, “Let go and let love in.”
Don’t cling to the one you love.
Know love comes in many forms and you are never without love.
I’ve come to think of love as a stream — of air or a river. You can tap into this stream alone. You can tap into it with another. Sometimes you tap into it with someone else so strongly, it’s like you’re drowning in love.
